Robovigil
STRONG is collaborating in this globally pioneering project.
A consortium of Portuguese companies, including participation from Strong, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, and the companies Clever House and Sinepower started work on the Robovigil project in 2010.
It is a project financed by the QREN initiative and co-financed by the European Fund for Regional Development and its goal is to simplify human tasks and reduce the human risks associated with the surveillance sector.
Robovigil features a 360-degree view and is able to detect gas leakage, water leakage and fires, thus significantly helping to reduce human risks.
These robots can be remotely controlled in real time via remote control and they can communicate via videoconference with other robots or with humans.
